Car on the coastline
Our cars are our think tanks, our karaoke rooms, and our closets on wheels. (Seriously, how many shoes are in your trunk?) Cars can also have a major impact on the environment, but even if your vehicle isn’t electric, there’s a really easy way to help the planet and help your ride:

Check the air in your tires.

It sounds almost too easy, but the science is clear: By keeping your tires properly inflated, you can save between 400 and 700 lbs of CO2 every year.

You can also save $$$, because cars with fully inflated tires get up to 3% more gas mileage. And remember, at many gas stations and auto shops nationwide (like these), air is free.
