You already know that midterm elections are coming up. So let’s talk about why they matter for you, for the Earth, and for every living thing on it.

Midterm elections are a BFD because they decide the national and local leaders whose laws control water access, public transportation, education, and even soil health standards. These leaders will also help or hurt the fate of women’s healthcare.

Next Tuesday, November 8, you have the opportunity to stand up for your body, your community, and your planet—just by voting! LET’S DO IT.

Here’s how to make it easier:

MAKE SURE YOU’RE REGISTERED TO VOTE

Get your polling info and voter registration confirmation here.

RESERVE TIME ON YOUR CALENDAR

Just like a Zoom call or a doctor’s appointment, voting is something you can schedule. Seeing it as part of your day will help you feel a lot calmer. Also, here’s how (and if) you can vote early.

KNOW YOUR POLLING PLACE

Like, find it here and Google Map it. Know how you’re gonna get there, where you’ll be going after, and obviously, where the best cookie bakery is nearby.

KNOW YOUR BALLOT BEFOREHAND

Again, Google is your BFF here—view who’s on your ballot so you can make an informed choice.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS

All of them.

BRING WATER AND GREAT SNACKS

This is also just general life advice.
